Née comme beaucoup d'enfants à POMPEY à la maternité du Docteur SIMONIN et ce, jusque dans les années 83, 84, 85 ???, grands parents paternels et mon papa nés à Pompey, je ne trouve que peu de mots pour vous bien sincèrement ma gratitude de faire vivre la mémoire collective.
Christine Schneider, petite fille d'André Schneider, ancien maire adjoint de Pompey (ancien prisonnier de guerre et gaulliste), de Renée César née Schneider née rue Ste-Anne à Pompey, ma grand-mère maternelle et de Marcel Schneider mon papa décédé en 2017. Toute la famille demeurait rue Ste-Anne dont mon oncle Jean POIROT et ma tante Josette SCHNEIDER épouse POIROT décédée en 2018, ainsi que mon oncle Jean-Claude SCHNEIDER et son épouse Evelyne DUMONT épouse SCHNEIDER. J'ai passe des moments extraordinaires dans le quartier de la rue Ste-Anne et rue des Jardiniers, ainsi qu'aux cités du Maroc chez mon oncle Robert RAMBOUR et son épouse Renée de COMPTE épouse RAMBOUR.

A bientôt 50 ans, je me rappelle avec nostalgie de ces grands bâtiments en contre-bas de la route en traversant Pompey, de ces lumières allumées à l'intérieur et des hauts-fourneaux. J'ai trouvé trace des mes deux grands-pères (jamais connus de leur vivant) dans la liste des employés, dont l'un a été gravement blessé en travaillant. Mon père aussi y était employé jusqu'en 1985 dans les bureaux (bâtiment encore existant) Quel regret que tout (ou presque) ait disparu ! Merci à vous pour ce travail mémoriel indispensable.
